
The Death of Coco
An experimental drama about the prisoners and officers dealing with the everyday struggles of controlling Cookham Wood Prison.
Officer George is a new recruit for Cookham Wood's failing system, and while he may be willing and eager to bring in a new system for the prisoners, his methods prove trying when he has to navigate the policies of handling prisoners.
Meanwhile first time prison offender Fedore arrives at the prison with his teddy bear, his only guidance in the adult world, already feeling vulnerable from attack and shame, it is up to experienced prisoner Warren Hoskins to teach him the ways of surviving in prison.
All the while changes in the political world may soon be having a bigger effect on everyone's lives at Cookham Wood.

Officer George is the newest prison officer to join the Cookham Wood recruits, with big plans to make a difference, but must overcome a lot of policy procedures in order to achieve them. ------------------------------ George Harold Millman is an Actor, Blogger and Activist, who has also co-founded and manages this production company.

A first time prisoner, who has arrived in prison with his teddybear, his only guidance in the adult world. He represents the most vulnerable type of prisoner in Cookham Wood and his biggest fear of all is failure. ------------------------------ Tom Campe has been acting since he was a teenager, and now he has graduated, has been pursuing more stage based acting work.

Strict and enforcing of the rules and regulations of the prison, so strict you would have thought he had written them. Pied respects his staff and will help the prisoners, but will not compromise when punishment is due. ------------------------------ Karim Dinoulous comes from a Social Media background making this film his acting debut.

Head Nurse of the prison Healthcare Wing, Evelyn witnessed the death of her son and now she can not help but see him in the faces of the prisoners she meets in the various cells of Cookham Wood. ------------------------------ Sheila Kaur is best known for her role as Poonam in 'Lala's Ladiez', but before that she founded Inspiration Arts Collective.

Top boy of the prison. Being the eldest in the prison means he has the most respect and control over what the other inmates get to do. (Warren is also a character from Common Flipside's audio story 'Persistence'.) ------------------------------ Owen Richards has been working in theatre and modelling in the past, but has also helped behind the camera when requested. He has also photographed and filmed some of his own work.

This prolific offender is someone who regularly throws tantrums to get what he wants out of the officers, Jon is an example of people who believe they have been failed by the system. He will do whatever he can to get what he wants. ----------------------------Joel has been acting from a young age but has been involved in many independent productions in previous years. Shortly after filming Joel attended the Brighton Film and Screen School in hopes of pursuing his own directing projects.

Great grand daughter of the renowned psychologist Jean Piaget, Michelle's ability to empathise with peoples emotions makes her useful to the prison. She has also been accessing a lot of prisoner files she doesn’t have too... ------------------------------Yasmin Reilly is making her debut in film with this role. She previously had onscreen roles in modelling and reality TV, include Sky's 'Intergalactic' and ITV2's 'Love Bites'

Newly promoted to senior officer, Marsh is actually doing more work than he should, due to staff shortages. Just back from suspension after a previous fight with a prisoner, he is trying to keep his life together despite this setback. ------------------------------ Keize has also been a DJ and a presenter before becoming an actor.

Promoted through the ranks from lowest position to where she is now. Her empathy drives her to improve everyones wellbeing, which is why she took the role of Governor, to make things better for everyone, including the prisoners. ------------------------------ Kate Newall has been acting for theatre and screen, but her recent hobby has been tracing her family tree, and has discovered a couple of crooks amongst her distant ancestors...!

Dochas Madojutim is an engineering graduate based in Belfast, Ireland. Winter Foenander is a voice actor who has been recording voices for many years. Emilee Creasy is a mother of 2 who writes and records poetry. ------------------------------ At Common Flipside we believe in fairness for everyone, which is why we couldn't leave out the people that made the telephone conversations so memorable.
